Hi, I’m Hamish from Cool.org.

We know that exploring real-world topics in the classroom can sometimes mean sharing challenging information and issues that can leave your students feeling anxious, upset or overwhelmed.

Here at Cool.org, we think it's important for students to explore these topics, but we’d like them also to feel they aren’t helpless in the face of these challenges.

One of the best ways to address anxiety and helplessness about the big issues facing our world is to take action on these issues.

This is why we've created the Cool.org Act Framework.

This Framework provides tactics and approaches you can use as a guide when supporting students to take meaningful action.

In this course, you will explore these tactics and learn more about our philosophy of action. You will also be provided with examples of Cool.org resources where these tactics have been applied.

If you have any questions or comments, your course teacher will be available to assist you. Let’s get cracking!
