Lesson Summary

Students will conduct a statistical investigation using their own class data on unused mobile phones at home. Students will learn by surveying their peers and creating a scientific communication poster. This poster will relate to an entry for the MobileMuster Schools Competition.

Learning intentions

Students will:

plan, conduct, and analyse a statistical investigation using real-world data from a mobile phone recycling campaign
create an entry for the MobileMuster Schools Competition

Success criteria

Students can:

collect and interpret data using summary statistics and visual representations
present their findings as a scientific poster
