Lesson Summary
Students will collaboratively develop design criteria (including sustainability) to evaluate design ideas, processes, and solutions by creating their own assessment tool for an assistive device prototype they will design. Students will then use this assessment tool in future lessons to evaluate their assistive device against their own criteria, determining if it is a suitable device for the end user.
Learning intentions
Students will:
- explore how designed solutions are created through a combination of materials, systems, components and equipment.
Success criteria
Students can:
- identify design criteria to assess assistive devices against
