Lesson Summary
Students will analyse needs or opportunities for designing. They will investigate, select, and evaluate materials, components, tools, equipment, and processes to create designed solutions. This will involve ideation and design of an assistive device. Students will need to consider materials and the design process. The assistive devices will be assessed against the criteria of sustainability, aesthetics, functionality and accessibility.
Learning intentions
Students will:
- generate design ideas for a specific user and purpose.
Success criteria
Students can:
- generate and communicate design ideas through visual representations
- identify materials, tools and processes required to implement their design.
