Students will explore what it means to build new friendships in changing environments. They will learn practical strategies for being approachable, starting conversations and including others, and reflect on how initiative, openness and consistent behaviour help build safe and positive connections.
Learning intentions
Students will:
- understand that building new friendships requires initiative, openness and consistent inclusive behaviour
- learn strategies for starting conversations, joining groups and helping others feel safe and included.

Students can:
- identify and practise behaviours that make others feel safe and welcome, and build connections
