Lesson Summary
Students will explore the complexity of emotions by identifying a wide range of feelings and recognising that multiple emotions can occur at once. They will investigate how emotions show up in the body and how these signals can provide useful information. Through discussion, scenario-based learning and practical activities, students will develop strategies to understand and regulate their emotions, while also learning how to respond supportively to others.
Learning intentions
Students will:
- identify a broad range of emotions and recognise that multiple emotions can occur at once
- understand that all emotions are valid and serve a purpose.
Success criteria
Students can:
- develop self-awareness of how emotions show up in the physical body
- practise basic calming and grounding strategies to regulate emotions.
