Dignity For You And Me - Activity Instructions

Every human on Earth is one of a kind. You have traits that make you special, and have the right to be treated with dignity no matter what those traits are. Practise finding special traits with the book Sunday Chutney, then celebrate what makes you you.

Step 1.

Listen to the story Sunday Chutney by Aaron Blabey. You can hear it being read online.

Step 2.

Sunday has some great personality traits. Describe four of them. Here are some adjectives that might help, but you can think of your own:

brave	friendly	funny	generous
kind	honest	hard-working	organised
polite	quirky	shy	outgoing
enthusiastic	resilient	strong	creative

Now, think about yourself. What similarities and differences do you and Sunday Chutney have? Use the adjective list again, or find your own.

Step 4.

Create yourself a reminder by designing a poster with these words:

I am... (top of the poster)
and I am worthy of dignity (bottom of the poster)

Include pictures that give examples of the adjectives you have chosen for yourself.
