Lesson Summary
Students complete their Upstander investigation and analyse their data. They identify patterns, consider limitations and reflect on how their sampling methods may have influenced their results. Students then use their evidence to develop an informed Upstander Action Plan that proposes realistic, positive change within their school or community.
Learning intentions
Students will:
- represent, analyse and interpret data from a statistical investigation and use the evidence to inform positive, meaningful action
- evaluate the strengths and limitations of their methods.
Success criteria
Students can:
- create clear visual representations of their data
- identify and explain patterns supported by evidence
- acknowledge limitations and potential bias in their investigation and draw fair and accurate conclusions from their data
- propose a realistic action supported by evidence.
