Presentation Summary
Wombats have evolved to live with the conditions of the Australian bush, including using their burrows to hide from bushfires. However, the devastating fires of 2019/2022 saw many wombat burrows destroyed and wombats injured and left hungry. Wildlife carers use scientific knowledge of wombats to care for wombats and return them to their homes.
