Biodiversity in Action Event

Cool.org has partnered with the Biodiversity Council to launch a suite of educational resources, marked by a special event at Melbourne Zoo. The video opens with a Welcome to Country from Uncle Colin Hunter Jnr, a Wurundjeri, Woi Wurrung Elder, grounding the launch in First Nations perspectives and connection to Country.

The program features a panel discussion with Jaana Dielenberg and Sarah Bekessy from the Biodiversity Council, facilitated by Tanna Hardinge, a proud Byellee and Kanaka woman and First Nations Education Specialist at Cool.org, and a talk from Bunurong and Yuin author and farmer Bruce Pascoe.

Together, these voices explore the central themes of biodiversity, conservation and First Nations knowledge and perspectives on Country, highlighting how technology, culture, and environmental stewardship intersect.
