Making Groups on Country

Children explore number sense through hands-on play, inspired by Yolŋu mathematics, where counting, sharing and caring are part of everyday life. Using buried ‘turtle eggs’, they practise estimating, grouping in fives and discussing fairness, learning that mathematics connects to balance, respect and sustainability on Country.
