About the project
For this project, we have created two posters, one for ages 0-2 and one for ages 3-5, to track the reading of First Nations books with your children. A detailed author background information factsheet has been included to highlight the incredible stories of the First Nations authors, illustrators and storytellers behind each book. Accompanying these resources is a guide of key questions you may have about First Nations peoples and culture centred on the key themes of these books to deepen your understanding of First Nations peoples and our shared history.
With thanks to
We'd like to extend our heartfelt thanks the families and educators of Kingsville Early Learning, who fundraised to help make this project possible. The educators supported the children to create First Nations-themed artworks using sustainable materials. These artworks were displayed and purchased in a week-long exhibition, with the proceeds being donated to Cool.org.
We would also like to extend our thanks to the The Balarinji Collection for the use of their graphics from their available Canva library.
Welcome back!
