At this activity station children investigate different types of seed pods and record their observations. This station is one of six in our Traipsing through Trees series that are perfect for setting up for drop-off time or after lunch to scaffold child-centred exploration and learning.

Resources Required
- Seed pods from different plants (gum nuts from eucalyptuses, wattle seed from acacia, acorns from oaks, etc.)
- Magnifying glasses
- Tweezers
- Small containers to put the seeds inside
- Cameras (iPads or digital cameras work best).
