‘Self-confidence refers to what we think we can do. Teacher self-confidence, which generally increases over time, relates to the belief you have in your teaching skills but it can vary considerably depending on the context including how well you know the content, your pedagogical knowledge, what you know about the students and how to manage the learning process.’ (Source) Fortunately, there are some practical ways that you can utilise to increase your self-confidence. Great teachers are not born, they develop over time (Source).
You will learn:
- how to build self-confidence, using thought out planning and preparation and time management
- how to create a positive and healthy environment for both you and your class
- to utilising connections with peers and mentors and using their feedback to strengthen your confidence
- to set realistic goals, reaching them and celebrating these achievements.
