Jan Owen AM is a trailblazer in reimagining the future workforce for young Australians. As former CEO of the Foundation for Young Australians (FYA), she led groundbreaking initiatives like the New Work Order research series, which explored how automation, digitisation, and the gig economy are reshaping employment. Under her leadership, FYA launched YLab, a global youth futures lab co-designing solutions with young people. Jan has also played key roles in reforming education and accreditation through Learning Creates Australia and in strategic advisory through AdaptabilityQ. A lifelong advocate for youth, Jan founded the CREATE Foundation and led Social Ventures Australia. Her work sits at the intersection of social innovation, entrepreneurship, and education. Named the inaugural AFR/Westpac Woman of Influence and appointed a Member of the Order of Australia, Jan is committed to ensuring young people are equipped to thrive in a rapidly changing world. She is the author of The Future Chasers and a respected global speaker.
