This course is designed to empower educators to explore the impact of mentoring by learning about the 18 core values that underpin the mentoring philosophy within IMAGI-NATION. You’ll learn how to connect with young people in a way that transforms your school into a vibrant mentoring hub where every student and teacher is supported to reach their full potential.
You will explore:
- strategies for understanding, connecting with, and teaching Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students
- the impact and positive changes that result from engaging with a mentoring program
- core values that underpin mentoring.
Course time:
This course is expected to take 2 hours. The application and understanding of values during Mentor Class is ongoing. You will have ongoing access via your user dashboard.

Course Instructor
Founding AIME in 2005 to alleviate inequity Jack has led a 20 year movement to establish a global network across 52+ countries to centre imagination, mentoring and custodianship for all of humankind and solve the systemic challenges we've inherited to create a healthier life for all species on earth. Awards include being the youngest person in Australian history to receive an Honorary Doctorate from the University of South Australia, being awarded a Human Rights Medal and receiving an Honorary Fellowship from the University of Western Sydney. He is currently an Honorary Fellow at Deakin University with the Indigenous Knowledge Systems Lab.
