Course Summary

Teaching is a rewarding yet demanding career and it is dependent on teachers, those amazing humans who invest a lot of personal energy into their work. The majority of teachers' work involves juggling the many competing demands of a complex job including long hours preparing and correcting student work and attending to administrative tasks. To avoid burnout teachers need to take time for themselves by incorporating self-care practices into their daily lives.

You will learn:

  • What burnout really is and why so many teachers are affected by it
  • What is self-care and why it is important in avoiding burn out and thriving in the teaching profession
  • Techniques for incorporating self-care into your daily life, working in a profession where others come first most of your day
  • Authentically implement gratitude and mindfulness in the classroom to not only build your self-care, but to model this behaviour as well.

About 30 to 45 minutes - perfect for after work or during a spare period. You will have ongoing access via your user dashboard.
