You will learn:

In this course, you will experience a framework that will drive your students’ desire to participate in science lessons. You will build your confidence and skills by learning:

  • How to teach the Science Inquiry Skills strand of the curriculum.
  • How to involve your students in interesting science investigations.
  • How other teachers use science inquiry in their classroom.
  • How to download science lesson plans and worksheets for the year level/s you teach.

Course time:

This course will take you 2 hours to complete. Enjoy it in one session or spread it out over a few weeks. You will have ongoing access via your personal dashboard.

Course instructors

Mark Drummond from Cool Australia is your course teacher. He has worked in the education sector for over 11 years as a classroom teacher, Leader of Pedagogy within an Ed-Tech startup and as an educational consultant. Mark is an absolute science nerd and loves talking about dinosaurs as much as he loves talking about education (which is a lot)!

Belinda Moran helped to create this course and also features in its videos. Belinda has worked for 25 years in the primary education sector as a classroom teacher, principal, assistant principal and curriculum coordinator. Her passion lies in science and technology and she is currently teaching Foundation to Year 6 students as a specialist teacher.
