This course will assist you in delivering SEL lessons with confidence. You will learn valuable facilitation tools and strategies that’ll leave you feeling inspired and ready to take on any SEL concept.

You will learn:

  • create a safe and supportive environment
  • increase student engagement
  • encourage open sharing
  • read the room and respond accordingly
  • model vulnerability
  • artfully facilitate discussions and debriefs involving tricky topics.

Accreditation:

This course is mapped to the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers. It is accredited for professional development hours at the following levels:

Proficient Teacher – all states and territories:

  • 3.2 Plan and implement well-structured learning and teaching programs or lesson sequences that engage students and promote learning
  • 4.1 Establish and implement inclusive and positive interactions to engage and support all students in classroom activities.

This course is not currently accredited in the ACT (TQI). However, it can be counted towards teacher identified learning hours (ACT).
