Students will synthesise learnings from this unit to design a farm of the future. They will create their work around a set of design criteria that includes environmental, social and economic considerations. Students will present their designs to an audience.

Students will:

recognise that farmers need to produce food and fibre, care for the environment and support themselves
understand that farm planning can help to balance these needs.

Success criteria

Students can:

generate a design for a farm based on social, economic and environmental criteria.
