Lesson Summary

Students will participate in physical activities promoting participation strategies, plan, conduct and participate in statistical investigations, and analyse data (considering inferences and limitations) by learning about Basketball 3x3 and Wheelchair Basketball 3x3 at the Commonwealth Games. Students will collect data about the 2 sports and analyse and represent that data.

Learning intentions

Students will:

explore the Commonwealth Games Basketball 3x3 events, looking at rules, court and equipment modifications.

Success criteria

Students can:

apply basketball 3x3 skills to Wheelchair Basketball 3x3 situations
plan and conduct a statistical investigation into how playing from a wheelchair impacts performance and how the rule variations accommodate this.
