Lesson summary
Footy players need their teammates and support team to ensure they can take on the field. There are things a tall marking forward can do that a small crumber can’t and vice versa. We all have strengths and weaknesses too, and these can impact our regular, daily lives. We all require the support of others to help us conquer problems much too large for an individual.
This lesson is about recognising that diversity makes us strong, acknowledging how a team brings together their individual strengths for the greater good. It is also an opportunity to celebrate students’ progress, bringing a close to the Volkswagen Footy Fit Challenge unit of work.
The health and fitness-related tasks undertaken throughout the Volkswagen Footy Fit Challenge lessons are gamified, providing incentivised learning opportunities and allowing for some personalisation. Therefore, we recommend students complete the full Volkswagen Footy Fit Challenge unit to benefit from the full experience, completing this lesson first.
