Lesson summary

Students reflect on their relationship with their parents/guardians and explore strategies to build strong and healthy relationships with adults. They write a letter of appreciation to a parent, guardian or trusted adult in their life to recognise some of the ways they receive support and guidance.

  • explore their relationship with their parents/guardians and learn strategies that can help strengthen their trust, respect and appreciation for the adults in their life.

Success criteria:

Students can...

  • discuss positive and negative aspects of their relationship with their parents/guardians
  • compose a letter to a parent or trusted adult that demonstrates gratitude and appreciation
  • outline strategies to strengthen their relationship with their parents and other adults.
