This is a Mathematics unit for students that teaches them how to understand the problem of homelessness using real-world issues through mathematical modelling. The unit is developed in partnership with the film Life After The Oasis, which explores issues, interventions, and mindsets associated with youth homelessness in Australia. Students are given opportunities to explore Australian Census data relating to homelessness and demonstrate their understanding of how the media can represent statistics.
