NAPLAN preparation - Sustainability and Writing Skills

PrimarySecondaryYear 3 - 10EnglishEnvironmentalEnergyRecyclingSustainabilityWater

Go to

This unit focuses on developing students' understanding of sustainability and writing skills through learning about sustainable practices in energy generation and recycling. Students will engage in a range of activities, including reading tasks, NAPLAN-style test practice papers, creative writing tasks, and analysis of persuasive visual texts. They will learn about the paper recycling loop, energy generation from water and wind, and the benefits of recycling mobile phones and printer cartridges. Through these activities, students will develop their knowledge of sustainable practices and their writing skills.

These lesson plans are not an officially endorsed publication of NAPLAN’s creators and administrators – the ACARA body – but are designed to provide practice for the Australian Curriculum’s compulsory NAPLAN testing scheme.
