This unit of lessons uses the Wild Things documentary to guide students through the history of the environmental movement in Australia and support them in raising their own voices for an environmental issue that is important to them. The documentary follows a new generation of environmental activists who are mobilizing against powerful forces and shows that every action counts. The unit includes lessons on activism, researching and presenting on an environmental issue, understanding human impacts on the environment, exploring different forms of activism, and creating their own environmental activism piece.
