Designed for teachers of Years 7-10, these 4 workshops aim to empower Australian teachers to embrace their role as mentors, fostering meaningful relationships with First Nations students through a journey of shared learning and sense-making.
These resources help educators shift from traditional teacher-student dynamics to mentor-mentee relationships, unlocking relational potential, bridging cultural gaps and nurturing collective and individual imagination within the classroom.
These resources have been designed and made available in collaboration AIME Mentoring.
AIME Mentoring is an ambitious non-profit project with the goal of:
❤️ Seeing every teacher in the country trained as a mentor
❤️ Indigenous school participation rates and gaps closed
❤️ The intelligence of First Nations' Peoples activated not only through a Western frame, but with their own strength and systems shining through in schools
