Using Infographics to Teach Data and Knowledge in the Secondary Classroom equips secondary teachers with the skills to use infographics effectively across any subject. Infographics simplify complex information, making them perfect for helping students in Years 7-12 engage with data, compare texts, express viewpoints, and summarise key concepts.

In this course, you’ll explore the various types of infographics and how to integrate them into your teaching. Learn how to design, create, and share your own infographics, and discover lesson plans to guide students in using them for deeper learning. Whether you’re teaching science, history, or English, this course provides the tools to make data more accessible and engaging.

You will learn:

• How to use infographics to help Year 7-12 students understand data, compare texts, express a point of view or summarise learning.
• How to read and understand seven different types of infographics.
• How to design, create and publish infographics in any subject area.
• How to use a range of lesson plans to teach infographics.

Course time:

This course will take you 2 hours to complete. Enjoy it in one session or spread it out over a few weeks. You will have ongoing access via your personal dashboard.

He has worked in the education sector for over 11 years as a classroom teacher, Leader of Pedagogy within an Ed-Tech start-up and as an educational consultant. Mark is an absolute science nerd and loves talking about dinosaurs as much as he loves talking about education (which is a lot)!

Sana Hijazi is a specialist Mathematics and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) teacher. She worked in the ICT industry before becoming a classroom teacher.
