Lesson summary
Students explore the benefits and challenges of teamwork. They begin by reflecting on their experiences of positive and challenging teamwork experiences. They then explore how the Global Problems Solvers team is made up of people with different skills and personal qualities, and they reflect on how or why these differences are important or valuable to teams. Students then think about their own skills or personal qualities and how these might be important or valuable to teams. Finally, they work collaboratively to reflect on some of the challenges that are common to teamwork and develop a set of teamwork guidelines for overcoming these challenges that can be used throughout the rest of this unit for any group activities.
