Lesson summary
Children think about waste and why it doesn’t belong in nature. They will start a journal to observe their local nature and record waste. They can use this information to enlist their local community in a Clean Up event.
Activity intention:
- This activity is designed to introduce children to the idea that natural processes produce no waste. Children use outdoor exploration and nature journaling to connect their ideas about waste in nature and human-made waste.
