Lesson Summary
In this lesson, the students learn about sugar – where it comes from and how it is used in our body. We take a closer look at our body and explore how sugar is moved around. The students take part in a fun and simple experiment to learn how our kidneys filter our blood. The students use a predict, observe and explain inquiry process uncovering what our kidneys do and how they help us stay healthy.

Students will:

- begin to understand the effects of sugar on our bodies
