Presentation Summary
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have used cool burning as a technique for managing their land for thousands of years. Cool burning is used to regenerate the bush at different times of the year to ensure food sources are available throughout the year and for year after year. Cool burning practices are now being used around the country by land managers to help reduce fuel loads and improve habitats.
