Building Respect, Empathy and Inclusion
This dynamic unit empowers students to build stronger relationships through respect, empathy, and active inclusion. Students will explore the importance of understanding and supporting others, both in school and beyond. By examining real-world examples, including Collingwood Football Club’s AFL/AFLW initiatives, students will gain a deeper understanding of how their actions and words can positively influence their communities.
Throughout the unit, students will engage in collaborative activities, explore different bystander roles, and design their own solutions for improving inclusivity. By the end of the unit, students will have developed practical strategies for building respect and empathy, advocating for inclusivity, and taking action to celebrate and support diversity.
