This unit is designed to provide students with an understanding of climate change and its impacts. Students explore the key concepts related to climate change, including the greenhouse effect, the carbon cycle, and the impacts of human activities on rising carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere. They examine how these changes can affect the various spheres of the Earth, from ecosystems to weather patterns.

The unit aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to understand the complexities of climate science and to critically analyse the factors contributing to climate change. Students are encouraged to explore solutions capable of mitigating the effects of climate change and develop a deeper appreciation for the importance of being informed citizens.
