This unit is designed for a flipped classroom where students explore sustainable consumption and design. In the first activity, students read the Dairy Diaries and create quiz questions before working in groups to create an infographic comparing conventional and organic/biodynamic dairy farming. In the second activity, students investigate planned obsolescence and recreate a more sustainable design of a product. In the third activity, students create a presentation on the concept of embodied energy in house design.
