This unit aims to promote environmental and social sustainability through creative art-making. Students will examine the role of art in advancing sustainability and question their perceptions of it. They will explore case studies of practicing artists and create their own artwork inspired by them. Students will also design their own online art exhibition, create artworks inspired by their environment, and explore the idea of conscious consumption through found objects. The unit will conclude by examining text in art and creating a text-based artwork.
