Go to

This unit describes a set of lessons designed to help students prepare for the NAPLAN Reading assessment by practicing key skills such as comprehension strategies, identifying main ideas, finding word meaning in context, and identifying conventions in text. The lessons have been developed in partnership with Planet Ark's National Recycling Week and cover a range of topics related to recycling, such as the paper recycling loop, recycling of mobile phones and printer cartridges, and the recycling journey of materials from a demolished house. Each lesson includes a writing task, such as a creative or persuasive writing piece, designed to improve students' writing skills.
