This unit, developed in partnership with The Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria, aims to guide students from around Australia to explore the role of agriculture and farming in our daily lives, with a focus on the provision of food and fibre. The lessons in this unit provide practice for NAPLAN, the national literacy and numeracy test held in Years 3, 5, 7, and 9, and cover topics such as persuasive techniques, imagery in texts, literal comprehension, and engaging the reader.
