Lesson Summary
Students will learn how communities work together to achieve civic goals through watching the ‘Trailblazers’ film, which depicts the history of women’s football in Australia. They will summarise the key aims of the film and identify and discuss patterns relating to sport and gender.
Students will use primary and secondary sources to create a timeline of the Australian Women’s Football Team’s journey, including how the football community came together to support them in their battle for equality.
