Lesson summary

Students will explore essential elements of the scientific method that can be found inside and outside of the science laboratory by analysing AIME’s Making of a Hoodie (MOAH) Podcast and levers for shifting behaviour change for a more equitable world.

  • explore how different perspectives have led to new avenues of scientific inquiry and understand that scientific responses to contemporary issues, such as Jack Manning Bancroft’s project, AIME, can impact society.

Additional Info

In the Making of a Hoodie Podcast, the host, Jack Manning Bancroft, gathers with groups of unlikely connections to dive deep on challenges, topics and issues, explore guest stories and design a hoodie together to collectively represent them.

Level of teacher scaffolding: Medium - facilitate the analysis of a case study, explore new vocabulary and scientific processes, monitor discussions and check for understanding.
