This unit helps Year 3 and 4 students get involved in Earth Hour by learning about climate change in a fun and interactive way. Students will discover how climate change affects our environment and animals in Australia and worldwide. They will explore how to save energy and care for nature, discovering how they can make a difference at school, home, and in their communities. Through exciting activities, students will learn to be eco-friendly and take positive actions to protect our planet.

Earth Hour is a WWF-Australia initiative and the world’s largest community-driven climate change campaign. At its centre, lights are switched off to show a commitment to action. Thousands of teachers use Earth Hour’s education program to enrich their curriculum and provide pathways for young people to create change in their world.
