Lord Howe Island is a unique and isolated island with a rich biodiversity of plants and animals. The island is also vulnerable to external forces, such as invasive species and climate change. In this unit, students will learn about the geography and ecology of Lord Howe Island, as well as the conservation efforts to protect its precious habitats. They will create maps, models, and posters, and explore the impacts of human activities and invasive species, as well as adaptations in animals.
