This unit is designed to educate students on the importance of marine conservation and biodiversity. It includes a range of activities that focus on understanding food webs, investigating the impact of waste on the marine environment, and exploring different perspectives on the value of marine biodiversity. The unit also incorporates a flipped classroom strategy and hands-on activities, allowing students to build their knowledge, attitudes, and values independently and collaboratively.
Following this lesson plan is an ideal way for your school to introduce Zoos Victoria’s Seal the Loop program. You’ll be joining other amazing teachers in making a difference and creating positive environmental change.
