These resources are part of the STOP the Coward Punch Education Resources, created in collaboration with Danny Green’s STOP the Coward Punch Campaign.
These Supporting Resources for Schools and Communities have been designed to
- support schools, sporting clubs and youth-facing organisations in facilitating discussions about aggression, violence and community responsibility
- equip educators, caregivers and community leaders with tools to address violence prevention through a whole-community approach
- introduce young people to the STOP the Coward Punch campaign, using workshops and discussions to explore the impact of coward punches and the power of awareness campaigns
- provide one-on-one conversation guides, helping trusted adults engage with young people struggling with anger, aggression, substance use and/or violent behaviour
- offer a Take-It-Home Resource Pack, empowering caregivers to support young people in managing emotions, understanding risk factors and making positive choices
- analyse real-world statistics and research to highlight the consequences of coward punches and the role of public health messaging in violence prevention
- develop empathy and critical thinking, help young people reflect on their choices, explore alternative actions and access help when needed.
The Stop the Coward Punch Supporting Resources are not designed to replace professional help. They are structured starting points to empower entire communities to take action against violence, supportyoung people and foster safer and more resilient environments.
