Year 1 English:

Understand how language, facial expressions and gestures are used to interact with others when asking for and providing information, making offers, exclaiming, requesting and giving commands (AC9E1LA01)

Relevant parts of Foundation English achievement standards: Students listen to texts, interact with others and create short spoken texts, including retelling stories. 

Relevant parts of Year 1 English achievement standards: Students interact with others, and listen to and create short spoken texts including recounts of stories.

• Device capable of sharing a YouTube video with the class
