Lesson Summary

Students will plan and implement Earth Hour activities for their school. They will participate in collective action to reduce their school’s environmental impact and help create positive change in their community.

Learning intentions

Students will:

understand the benefits of partaking in Earth Hour
build an understanding of the impacts of climate change
use their project planning skills to organise their Earth Hour events.

Success criteria

Students can:

assess their environmental impact
brainstorm, plan and implement an event for Earth Hour.
