This unit is designed to help children develop mindfulness skills by using nature as a stimulus. Through a range of sensory practices, children will tune into each of their senses, their environment, and their inner thoughts and feelings. They will develop skills in focus, attention, resilience, emotional intelligence, and regulation of the body and emotions. The unit includes activities such as creating a glitter jar using glitter from nature, taking nature walks, and finding a mindful talisman or totem.
