This unit focuses on sustainability and the environment, exploring the various ways in which we can take responsibility for caring for our planet. Through a range of activities and projects, students will examine the role of creativity in sustainability, investigate the need for green jobs, explore the different forms of environmental art, and learn about the four pillars of sustainability. They will also explore how shapes and garden bed designs can affect the materials required and the number of vegetables that can be planted, and investigate the concept of social equality in relation to sustainability. Overall, this unit aims to foster a sense of responsibility and encourage students to think critically about their impact on the environment.
