AFLW - Valuing Diversity

This lesson explores key themes showcased in the AFLW ‘Player Stories’ vlog-doc: ‘A New Hero – Sabrina Frederick-Traub’. Students will tune in to the concept of diversity by watching and reading about the experiences of dynamic AFLW player Sabrina Frederick-Traub. They will relate to the concept by sharing examples of what diversity looks like, then deepen their understanding by creating a collage to visually represent what diversity is, with the guidance of a quote. Students will share their visual representation with a wider audience, then reflect on their understanding of diversity in a short ‘Value of Diversity’ written statement.
